Egrets Going Home Again

Since 1995 The Wildlife Center has received hundreds of egrets and herons from the Napa area.  A large percentage of these rescued birds were rehabilitated and returned to the wetlands. The causes of their illness was investigated thoroughly for several years, it is thought to be due to pollution.

Due to the compassionate dedication to the cause, in one calendar year alone, there were ninety birds of all ages rescued, rehabilitated and released from one specific area.
