Shari "Star" Dewar was born and reared on the Texas Gulf Coast. As an adult, she began her mission to re-connect humanity with the ocean's creatures in the early 1980's by volunteering for the Marine Mammal Center in Northern California. The mission has widened in scope and urgency as the plight of all wild creatures becomes more complex by the day. But, like the dolphins said,
"You can Turn the World Around!"
Since then her stories and photos have been
published
internationally.
